DAYTON, OH - September 19, 2005 - Rebuilding Together Dayton is the recipient of the national "Spread the Spirit" Award in the category: Outstanding Video/Website for their website (www.rtdayton.org) at the national Rebuilding Together conference in Chicago September 14-18. This is the fourth year Rebuilding Together Dayton has received an award for public relations tools.

"We are very pleased to receive this award. We are so proud of our marketing tools and are thrilled to receive recognition on a national level," states Amy Radachi, Executive Director of the Dayton affiliate. Dennis Hamilton of Dennis Hamilton.NET designed the site.

Rebuilding Together Dayton is the local affiliate of the national Rebuilding Together organization, the nation’s largest volunteer organization preserving and revitalizing low-income houses and communities. There are over 250 affiliates in all 50 states.

Locally, Rebuilding Together Dayton has renovated over 200 homes since its inception in 1996 and performed repairs on 30 homes with over 1200 volunteers in April 2005. Neighbor•Care, its year-round minor to moderate home repair program, began in January 2001 and performs home repairs throughout Montgomery county. The program targets the low-income homeowner, particularly the elderly and disabled, by using volunteer labor to perform a wide range of home repairs.

The "Spread the Spirit" award was endowed in 1994 through the generosity of John and Susan McMeel, founders of Christmas in April Kansas City. The goal of the award is to raise national awareness of Rebuilding Together affiliates for outstanding achievements in public relations.
